Position Overview:
The Senior Legal and Compliance Professional will play a pivotal role in upholding the firm's compliance framework. This position involves supporting various workstreams tied to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and recognized industry best practices. The ideal candidate will be a part of a well-established, diverse, and multijurisdictional compliance team, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the firm's governance structure and its unwavering commitment to rigorous regulatory compliance.
This role is based in Southfield, MI or London, England, reporting directly to the Global Compliance Managing Counsel. Please note that paid relocation is not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update essential compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, ensuring their relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee compliance monitoring activities within designated regulatory sectors (e.g., AML, CTF, sanctions), identifying risks, trends, and areas requiring remediation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to promote a culture of integrity and accountability, ensuring compliance expectations are effectively communicated, understood, and applied consistently.
- Assist in translating complex regulatory and compliance requirements into clear, practical guidance that can be easily understood by non-specialist teams.
- Conduct due diligence to identify potential fraud or sanctions risks, and assist in investigating any irregularities or non-compliance concerns.
