The Senior Manager – Disposables will spearhead the commercial strategy and execution for the Disposables category, which encompasses food service disposables, packaging solutions, plastic ware, and paper products. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring cost optimization, adherence to quality standards, and fostering supplier relationships to enhance category growth and profitability.
1. Category Strategy & Planning
- Create and execute category strategies that align with the company’s overarching goals.
- Perform thorough market and industry analysis to pinpoint trends and growth opportunities.
- Direct strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier segmentation and negotiations.
2. Supplier Management
- Build and sustain robust relationships with both local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate trade terms and establish annual contracts to maximize cost efficiency and service levels.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
3. Financial & Performance Management
- Track sales, margins, and other revenue metrics against the budget (MTD/YTD).
- Compile business reports and evaluate category performance against market benchmarks.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while achieving profitability targets.
4. Product Development & Commercialisation
- Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to launch innovative products and promotions.
- Ensure assortment and pricing strategies are in tune with customer needs and business objectives.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with supply chain, finance, QA, and merchandising teams for seamless execution across all functions.
