About the Role:
We are actively seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team on a contract basis. This role is crucial to our operations, providing essential support for critical infrastructure and leading the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of network and security solutions.
This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who excels in dynamic environments and has a methodical approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to work across a diverse range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert-level support and serve as a senior escalation point for technical incidents.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues effectively.
- Oversee change control and risk assessments in managed service environments.
- Implement infrastructure changes and upgrades with precision to minimize disruption.
- Support project engineering initiatives and contribute to solution design.
- Enhance and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Manage vendor escalations and technical case handling.
- Assist the Technical Services Manager with major incident reports, service reviews, and root cause analysis.
- Conduct regular maintenance and patching of network and security systems.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and automation.
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
- Participate in the on-call rota to provide 24/7 support coverage.
