Role overview
HSI is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (AI-Driven Testing) to help lead the transition from manual and vendor-based testing to automated, AI-enhanced quality assurance. This remote position is open to candidates based in the United States. The role emphasizes building scalable automation frameworks and integrating AI tools such as Playwright and Claude. The goal is to expand test coverage, lower production defects, and establish an automation-first approach within the QA team. This is a hands-on role with significant visibility and opportunities for growth as the QA function evolves.
What you will do
- Promote and implement AI-driven QA methods across various products and platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level test automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Help set standards, governance, and reporting practices to foster an automation-first culture in QA.
- Apply AI tools such as Claude to generate and scale test cases.
- Support the development of standards for AI-assisted test generation, test data strategies, regression design, and observability.
- Reduce dependence on manual and outsourced QA processes.
- Conduct and enhance regression testing for a variety of applications.
- Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact test scenarios for automation.
- Contribute to QA standards, best practices, and the overall automation strategy.
- Define and track quality and automation metrics, including coverage, regression cycle time, defect escape rate, and throughput.
- Encourage knowledge sharing, documentation, and reuse of automation frameworks.
- Report progress, risks, and KPI trends to leadership.
