We are seeking a dedicated Senior Quality Engineer to enhance the Quality Engineering Department and support The Zebra’s expanding needs. This role requires substantial experience in the software quality industry, particularly in automation. Daily responsibilities may vary from exploratory testing to implementing automated UI and API acceptance tests.
Location:
While we embrace remote work across the continental United States, we are in the midst of establishing our infrastructure to support employees in all states. We have transitioned from a fully in-office environment to a hybrid work model, valuing the flexibility it provides our team. We support various work preferences including fully remote, in-office only, and a combination of both. What You'll Do:
Integrate as a key member of a product development team, actively participating in Agile ceremonies.
Spearhead automation strategies and project-level testing initiatives, promoting quality and ensuring that issues are accurately identified, reported, and addressed.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks to enhance coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
Act as the technical authority for automated testing across team features and contribute to shared automation standards.
Conduct acceptance and exploratory testing to validate application functionality and identify risks beyond automated coverage.
Pinpoint testing deficiencies and drive solutions to enhance automated test coverage and long-term maintainability.
Own and advance central quality engineering tools, frameworks, and technical approaches utilized across teams.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to quality engineers through code reviews, pairing, and documentation.
Collaborate with quality engineers and engineering leadership to enhance SDLC, CI/CD integration, and deployment processes.
