About the Team
At Careem, our NextGen Programme is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of engineers through a comprehensive learning path that emphasizes Clean Code practices, SOLID design principles, and scalable system architectures. This initiative encompasses all engineering domains at Careem, including Backend, Frontend, Web, Mobile, Data Analysis, MLOps, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Quality Assurance. Our objective is to establish a robust foundation for engineering excellence right from the start.
We are in search of a Senior Software Engineering Manager to guide a dynamic team of skilled engineers and recent graduates embarking on their software engineering journey. You will play a pivotal role in shaping their technical skills and mentoring them on real-world projects to help them develop into world-class engineers.
Your responsibilities will include leading and scaling highly distributed systems, mentoring engineers on best practices, and consistently enhancing engineering processes. The systems you will oversee are integral to Careem’s operations, facilitating everything from user interactions to payment processing.
