Join Dexterity as a Senior/Staff Algorithms Engineer and tackle diverse challenges in robot task and action planning. Utilize advanced techniques from machine learning, search algorithms, and both discrete and continuous optimization to address complex sequential decision-making problems that involve reasoning about the physical world and its dynamics. Stay updated with the latest advancements in reinforcement learning, task and motion planning, and related areas to enhance Dexterity's foundational technology in physical AI.
Dexterity's cutting-edge robotic systems integrate data from various sensors, such as RGB cameras, depth sensors, force-torque sensors, encoders, system telemetry, and human input. You will have the opportunity to develop sensor fusion and state estimation techniques to effectively utilize this multimodal sensory data for planning algorithms.
Collaboration will be key as you work with the data platform, physics simulation, and robot operations teams to devise innovative methods for refining the system’s internal world model.
As Dexterity expands its range of algorithmic challenges with new robotic applications, your contributions will include optimizing packing algorithms for constructing taller, denser, and more stable structures with various objects, addressing logistics tasks for inventory movement and sorting in warehouses, and developing models that comprehend physics and geometry for tasks of varying durations.
In addition to algorithmic development, you will be tasked with creating high-quality, maintainable, and efficient software, leveraging your strong software design expertise to guide broader software development within the team.
