Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with hardware architecture, design, and software application teams to integrate functional and performance requirements into sub-systems, identifying essential metrics and trade-offs while optimizing them based on thorough data analysis. Model system-level trade-offs involving distributed computing, networking, and resource allocation, focusing on power efficiency, end-to-end latency, and scalability to develop optimal systems architectures. Establish and maintain key vendor relationships to understand the landscape of available and future hardware platforms and peripheral technologies, thereby crafting a scalable infotainment roadmap. Lead the creation of mock-ups or prototypes to evaluate next-generation technologies, validate assumptions, and serve as reference platforms for system integration and validation. Partner with performance engineers and design teams to create detailed validation plans aimed at identifying potential bottlenecks and optimizing overall system performance.

Role overview

The Senior Staff Hardware Systems Architect will play a central role within the Hardware Systems Architecture team. This position involves working closely with cross-functional partners to break down product features into detailed technical requirements and design architectures for sub-systems in the vehicle’s low voltage electrical system.

Collaboration is key, as the architect will help define and document the structure for infotainment, telematics, networking, camera systems, and vehicle security. As projects advance, this role will also help set system performance benchmarks and outline validation methods to ensure robust, reliable results.
