Join our dynamic Data Center practice at AECOM as a Senior Structural Engineer. We are looking for a professional with expertise in designing hyperscale and colocation data centers. The successful candidate will possess substantial technical knowledge in large-scale concrete and steel structures, a demonstrated history of executing fast-paced technology and industrial projects, and a commitment to fostering low carbon and resilient design solutions.
This role allows for a flexible remote working arrangement, with the possibility of being based in various locations across the U. S. where AECOM has an office.
Although primarily remote, occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings, significant project milestones, onsite collaboration, or other essential activities. Travel will be scheduled in advance and expected to be infrequent.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings, including hyperscale and colocation facilities.
- Create design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, and deep and shallow foundations.
- Coordinate design deliverables with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams to meet project goals and client requirements.
- Oversee the production of construction documents, specifications, and calculations, ensuring quality and adherence to codes.
- Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers and designers.
- Engage with clients, contractors, and review authorities to resolve technical inquiries and clarify designs.
- Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and conceptual structural design for new projects.
- Travel as necessary for project-related activities, including client meetings and site visits.
