Qualifications

Over 10 years of relevant experience as a Systems Engineer or in related roles. A minimum of 5 years of experience within the Department of Defense, focusing on systems engineering technologies is highly preferred. Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable communication networks in dynamic military or field environments. Proficient in integrating existing infrastructures with new tactical network components. Strong analytical skills to decompose systems into major components and their interfaces. Experience in creating modular designs with logical interfaces to ensure scalability and adaptability. Expertise in managing network connectivity among various platforms, including ground vehicles, airborne assets, and command centers. Knowledge of selecting appropriate network protocols and technologies tailored to mission requirements, including data link layers, routing protocols, and encryption methods. Familiarity with testing methodologies for embedded systems, integration testing, and systems-level testing. Experience with simulation tools to analyze system performance across varying scenarios. Hands-on experience with hardware interfacing (analog/digital converters, sensors, actuators). Must achieve DoD 8570/8410 IAT Level II certification. Ability to maintain a stationary position for 50% of the time. Skilled in accurate communication with colleagues, management, and clients, including delivering presentations. Must be a U. S. citizen.

Sigma Defense is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer dedicated to supporting the Army's Network Modernization & Mission Network Technical Service Support program (NetMod). This role involves providing essential technical support services for various systems and equipment that are being developed, deployed, modified, or maintained by PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network within the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network (TN) of the Program Executive Office for Command Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). Furthermore, this position may extend to future technological acquisitions that the Army will utilize to sustain its strategic advantages.
