The Team:
The Platforms Technical Program Management (TPM) team is essential in guiding Pinterest toward a robust, scalable, and efficient technology ecosystem. We translate strategic objectives into actionable programs, collaborating with engineering and product leaders across the organization to facilitate modernization, scalability, reliability, and developer productivity. Our focus encompasses foundational platforms and tools shared across Core and Monetization, including client and API infrastructures that minimize operational friction and accelerate secure product delivery. We ensure alignment across teams, surface trade-offs early, and keep execution on track from strategy to launch.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the Core, Ads, Quality, and Client Foundations program portfolio as a hands-on Senior Manager of Technical Program Management in partnership with Platform engineering leadership.
- Establish an integrated multi-quarter program strategy, roadmap, and execution cadence across the portfolio, outlining milestones, dependencies, risks, and decision-making forums.
- Drive the modernization and consolidation of Core + Ads foundations, focusing on catalog and ingestion unification, and modernizing search and discovery infrastructure (indexing, retrieval/embeddings, crawling/scraping, content extraction, and media pipelines).
- Oversee modernization efforts for Client Foundations across iOS, Android, and Web, enhancing developer tooling foundations to boost code coverage, improve engineering practices, and facilitate safer, quicker releases.
- Manage and develop a small team (2–3 TPMs initially), fostering a culture of ownership, quality decision-making, and timely delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in leading large, cross-team technical programs characterized by high ambiguity and complex dependencies.
