Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including 2 years in a leadership role. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Civil or Transportation Engineering.15 years of relevant project PS&E design experience.5 years of experience working with the Department of Transportation, specifically within UDOT. Professional Engineer license in the State of Utah. Proficient in DOT Design Standards.5 years of experience in proposal and business development, including client presentations and relationship building. Proven track record of achieving project scope, schedule, and budget goals on large-scale transportation projects.

AECOM is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our team in Murray, Utah. This pivotal role will take charge as a technical lead on a portfolio of substantial and intricate transportation projects currently in backlog, while also playing an instrumental role in upcoming endeavors and the bidding processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate hands-on leadership across diverse projects including roadway, highway, bridge, traffic, and transit, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence, client satisfaction, and successful project outcomes. This position provides a unique opportunity to steer multidisciplinary teams, influence significant infrastructure advancements throughout Utah and surrounding areas, and strategically contribute to business growth initiatives within the Transportation Business Line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Technical Lead and Project Manager for large-scale, complex transportation projects within active backlog.
  • Oversee engineering design development across roadway, highway, bridge, traffic, and transit disciplines.
  • Facilitate technical coordination among multidisciplinary teams to guarantee the delivery of integrated and high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and risk elements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise the preparation and review of plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports.
  • Support proposal development, encompassing technical strategies, staffing plans, fee structures, and risk evaluations.
  • Engage actively in the bidding process, including strategy formulation and client presentations.
  • Serve as a primary technical liaison with clients, contractors, and essential stakeholders.
  • Mentor and nurture junior engineers and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations and agency requirements.
