QualificationsTechnical, production-related training (e.g., food technologist, industrial master m/f/d) with practical experience, preferably in the beverage or food industry. Leadership experience is required. Proficient in office applications. Independent, structured, and able to maintain an overview. Committed, responsible, and team-oriented. Strong communication skills, reliable, and cross-departmental (e.g., QM, production planning, warehouse, goods receipt). Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts.

Our client is one of the largest providers of sparkling and pearl wines as well as other beverages worldwide, operating three production sites in Germany and exporting to key markets such as the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Portugal, Benelux, Scandinavia, and Asia. At the production facility in Trier, we are seeking a Shift Leader (m/f/d) in Bottle Filling Production to strengthen the team as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supervising a team of approximately 25 employees per shift operating equipment such as glass bottle depalletizers, cappers, fillers, labeling machines, carton erectors, packers, and palletizers.

  • Motivating and supporting the team during challenging situations.

  • Ensuring timely, qualitative, and quantitative production.

  • Organizing machine settings and changeover times for product transitions.

  • Monitoring controls, documentation, deviations, and reports.

  • Close coordination with the production manager and plant manager to optimize personnel and material usage (OEE).

  • Smooth and informative shift handover.

  • Conducting employee discussions, planning shifts, and monitoring absences.

  • Onboarding new employees in production processes; promoting a flexible team structure including the integration of production assistants.

  • Adhering to quality management, safety, and hygiene regulations.
