Join Our Team as a Small Boat Mechanic/Engineering Technician!

We are currently looking for skilled Small Boat Mechanic/Engineering Technicians to join our team!
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent classroom and field laboratory support for high-risk training evolutions. Your duties will include:
- Executing corrective and preventative maintenance on various U. S. Navy tactical small craft and associated assemblies, systems, and subsystems.
- Performing maintenance on Mercury Marine outboard engines, marine diesel systems, and water jet propulsion systems.
- Providing essential technical and logistical support for U. S. Navy High-Risk tactical small craft training across diverse Anti-terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Small Boat platforms.
- Managing boats, repair parts, tools, and ancillary equipment efficiently.
- Maintaining up-to-date electronic service records and repair part inventories.
- Operating critical equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, vehicle lifts, oil/water separators, air compressors, and generators.
- Conducting sea trials with small boats as necessary.
- Assisting in the management of the HAZMAT Program in compliance with Navy and Installation requirements.
Ideal candidates should have a strong background in:
- Outboard motor repair and maintenance.
- Mercury outboard motor maintenance.
- Corrosion control and prevention for small crafts.
- Metal repair for small crafts.
- Electrical systems for small crafts.
- Marine transmissions and cooling systems.
- Marine fuel systems and inboard marine diesel engines.
- Water-jet propulsion systems.
You should also possess repair/maintenance work history with:
- 38’ Riverine Patrol Boat (RPB)
- 33’ Riverine Assault Boat (RAB)
- 34’ Force Protection Large Boat (FPL)
- 11 Meter Navy Standard Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RIB)
- 11 Meter Navy Special Warfare Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (NSW RIB)
