About the Role

Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) is hiring Social Workers for the Early Start Division in San Francisco. This position supports families with young children (ages 0 to 3) and offers a hybrid work schedule. Team members split time between remote work and in-person visits across San Francisco County, with occasional travel to San Mateo and Marin counties. Reliable transportation is required. Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential for this role.

Compensation

  • Bachelor's Degree: $58,083 - $69,700 starting salary
  • Master's Degree: $64,008 - $76,810 starting salary

What You Will Do

  • Meet with clients and families to assess needs and strengths
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate Family Service Plans for children ages 0 to 3
  • Connect families with community resources and referrals
  • Provide information about GGRC services to families and community agencies
  • Support families in building on their strengths and support systems
  • Monitor and facilitate developmental activities for children
  • Offer intake services and manage crises as needed
  • Advocate for clients and families to ensure access to entitled services and understanding of their rights
  • Educate families about resources, including Medicaid Waiver and Institutional Deeming policies
  • Evaluate availability and effectiveness of community services
  • Participate in community meetings and internal task forces to improve service delivery
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation, including Title XIX Progress notes
  • Determine eligibility for additional GGRC services and coordinate transitions to local school districts or community programs
  • Prepare Special Incident Reports and ensure compliance with California regulations

Work Location

This position is based in San Francisco with a flexible hybrid schedule. Work may take place at home or at GGRC offices throughout San Francisco County. Some travel to San Mateo and Marin counties, as well as occasional statewide travel, is required.
