Software Engineering Intern | Acorns

Acorns invites current college juniors (graduating in 2027) to apply for our Software Engineering Internship. This 10-week program will take place during the Summer of 2026.

As a Software Engineering Intern at Acorns, you will play a crucial role in translating high-level business requirements into innovative services, systems, and data models that drive our products and features. You'll think critically to design and build components that are performant, scalable, and reliable while balancing technical excellence with real-world business needs.

You will work closely with product, mobile, frontend, and QA teams to plan, develop, and launch meaningful features and infrastructure that enhance our cohesive financial products. Our internship emphasizes collaboration and end-to-end ownership, allowing you to lead a dedicated project from conception through delivery. You'll define requirements with stakeholders, design the technical architecture, and implement solutions while being fully integrated into the daily operations of the engineering team.

This experience culminates in a company-wide presentation, showcasing your project learnings and contributions.
