About the job
As a Solution Architect at Control Risks, you will spearhead architecture initiatives to design and oversee cutting-edge technology solutions. This encompasses projects, products, systems, and shared services. Your role involves providing technical leadership and ensuring that all solutions align with business needs while adhering to governance and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Architecture:
- Solution Design: Develop comprehensive designs including Business Context, Component Model, Deployment Model, Security Model, Service Model, and Transition & Migration Planning.
- Architecture Blueprints & Standards: Implement enterprise blueprints and standards to steer the design of new applications and ensure compliance with existing application landscapes. Identify and articulate architectural risks, constraints, assumptions, and decisions.
- Integration and Data Architecture: Define and enforce enterprise integration patterns (APIs, Event-Driven, Microservices, SOA) to promote scalable and secure interoperability. Oversee the API lifecycle from design to security and versioning, collaborating with Data Architecture and Engineering teams to utilize modern storage patterns for advanced analytics and AI/ML.
- Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs): Lead the definition and enforcement of NFRs by designing resilient architectures that ensure business continuity, scalability, and optimal performance. Embed observability, auditability, and DevOps readiness into each solution design.
Capability Analysis, Ideation & Estimation:
- Capability Analysis: Conduct capability analyses to create business and technology models, working closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to validate requirements and secure formal approval before solution design starts.
- Ideation & Vision: Facilitate ideation sessions to refine solution vision and demonstrate the possibilities within a diverse technology landscape, ensuring alignment with business needs and digital strategy principles.
- Estimation & Planning: Assess technical feasibility and architectural risks early to inform roadmaps and delivery strategies, providing estimates to facilitate informed decision-making.
