The Role
In the position of Solutions Engineer, your focus will be on the technical aspects of the sales process. You will engage with customers to uncover their requirements and effectively position our products to fulfill their needs. Your expertise will enable you to clearly communicate our value through impactful presentations, product demonstrations, and successful proof-of-concept evaluations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct solution presentations, demonstrations, and provide tailored recommendations to prospects and customers.
- Build and maintain technical relationships with existing clients through Quarterly Technical Reviews.
- Assist in crafting responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Information.
- Represent BeyondTrust at trade shows, seminars, and various company events.
- Utilize sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce, Confluence, and Skytap.
- Support technical evaluations of our products, which includes developing Proof-of-Concept Success Plans.
- Provide ongoing support for BeyondTrust Partners.
- Continuously expand your knowledge of BeyondTrust products and the broader industry landscape.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Over 2 years of experience as a pre-sales engineer or support engineer in privileged access management or related enterprise applications like IAM, SIEM, or ITDR.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with global software vendors.
- Proven ability to differentiate our products from competitors.
- Experience presenting security solutions at trade shows and conferences.
- Extensive knowledge in supporting Microsoft Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix, Active Directory, and SQL.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for business purposes.
- Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments.
Nice To Have
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCSP, or CEH.
- Experience in building, supporting, and selling security solutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with BeyondTrust products.
