Ideal Candidate:At least 6 months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in a medical support role preferred2+ years of customer service experience may substitute for medical experienceProficient in using smartphones and computersValid driver’s license and reliable transportation requiredKnowledge of medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is advantageousCommitment to adhering to HIPAA, HiTrust, and Confidentiality policies, procedures, and standardsUnderstanding of administrative, physical, and technical cybersecurity controlsHigh School diploma or equivalent is mandatoryPhysical requirements include sitting (60%), walking (20%), standing (20%), and lifting up to 20 lbs.

As a Specimen Collector II, you will:

Collect urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens from patients
Process and package specimens for shipping
Act as the liaison between the clinic and the laboratory
Document patient details, physician orders, and relevant laboratory information
Address any specimen-related concerns regarding billing or patient information within the ordering portal
Manage and maintain an inventory of collection supplies on-site
Conduct observed collections for Millennium Health specimens when required
Be prepared for travel between multiple facilities and occasional overnight coverage.
