Summary

Join Temporal’s Enterprise Developer Advocacy team in the role of Staff Developer Advocate, Developer Education. In this pivotal position, you will significantly influence how enterprise developers learn, engage with, and thrive using Temporal.

This senior individual contributor role focuses on education strategy, providing technical mentorship, and delivering hands-on training. You will help define the design and delivery of developer education in a post-COVID, LLM-enabled landscape while maintaining close connections with developers through workshops, Dev Days, and field engagements.

You will serve as a technical partner to the Enterprise DevRel leadership, establishing quality standards and direction for education initiatives, and scaling successful programs through thoughtful design, robust technical examples, and direct developer feedback.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and refine Temporal’s enterprise developer education strategy, rooted in contemporary learning practices.
  • Establish technical and instructional guidelines for programs, including workshops and training experiences.
  • Collaborate with DevRel leadership to prioritize educational investments and explore new formats or tools.
  • Design and manage train-the-trainer initiatives, encompassing curriculum design, enablement materials, and ongoing support.
  • Define certification pathways for trainers and developers, outlining clear skill areas, technical criteria, and assessment methods.
  • Experiment with innovative educational formats (e.g., AI-assisted learning, interactive labs, hybrid delivery), assess their effectiveness, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Ensure educational materials reflect the evolving needs of the developer community.
