The Enterprise Infrastructure Department
Within our Operations framework, the Enterprise Infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining the internal technology environment that supports Gemini's workforce. This team operates as a cohesive engineering and service organization, integrating exceptional front-line support with DevOps-driven platform engineering under a unified mission.
Our strategy in enterprise technology is centered on driving business growth through an engineering-first approach, establishing a modern, secure, and scalable foundation for seamless collaboration and innovative operations. By prioritizing operational excellence, continuous enhancements of existing systems, and strategic automation, such as Infrastructure as Code, GitOps workflows, and AI-enhanced operations, we position IT as an engineering discipline that significantly impacts both the department and the larger organization.
Role Overview: Staff Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer
As a Staff Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, you will take on the role of a technical leader and force multiplier across all aspects of Enterprise Infrastructure, from outstanding end-user support to backend platform engineering and automation. You will employ DevOps methodologies to guide the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the systems that support Gemini's global workforce. Your responsibilities will include developing strategies and executing plans for endpoint management, user identity and access lifecycle, internal tooling, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-enhanced operational workflows. You will also define and monitor key performance metrics, convey trends and capacity insights to leadership, and make informed decisions regarding tooling adoption, vendor partnerships, and architectural direction, all while considering the implications of these decisions on teams and stakeholders beyond Enterprise Infrastructure.
