What this role involves:
Are you passionate about designing technology that assists individuals in their critical moments? At RapidSOS, we are revolutionizing public safety by linking life-saving data to first responders when time is of the essence. As a Staff Product Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative workflows and product experiences that transform complex, real-time data into reliable insights that can help save lives. You will contribute to the development, scaling, and evolution of our life-saving technology across the RapidSOS platform and brand, influencing both our AI-powered platform experiences and the design processes that operate at scale within the company.
This strategic design position focuses on enhancing the foundational elements that enable RapidSOS to design, develop, and evolve intricate, high-stakes products with clarity and confidence. You will spearhead significant cross-portfolio initiatives while defining systems, standards, and governance that facilitate effective scaling within our design team. You will address ambiguous, high-impact challenges, crafting systems and experiences that are dependable, scalable, and optimized for critical decision-making, while establishing design standards, patterns, and practices that elevate team performance and maintain quality over time.
Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Design leadership, you will define the integration and experience of real-time data, mapping, and AI-driven intelligence across our platform. This includes shaping the way AI enhances human decision-making during emergencies.
