Job Overview
We are on the lookout for an experienced Strategic Account Executive for the Western region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in sales, specifically targeting government entities. You will excel in managing multi-state territories, cultivating business opportunities, and driving the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closure. Your passion for employing mission-driven technology to enhance governmental operations will be crucial in this role, which reports directly to the Head of Growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to securing contracts with local government agencies in your designated territory.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource in government operations, aiding in policy development, management, and dissemination.
- Identify and pursue opportunities within State and Local Government sectors.
- Conduct comprehensive discovery calls and product demonstrations for potential clients.
- Diagnose customer challenges and align Esper's offerings to provide effective solutions.
- Differentiate Esper in competitive sales environments, promoting it as the preferred choice for local governments.
- Facilitate buyers through procurement processes to ensure seamless and efficient contracting.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients within your territory.
- Conduct 7+ prospect meetings weekly, both in-person and virtually.
- Keep precise and current CRM records of deals, meetings, and activities.
- Provide regular revenue forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Engage in market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
