Position Overview
As a Strategic Partnerships Manager at Oklo, you will play a pivotal role in crafting the ecosystem essential for the large-scale deployment of advanced fission technology. Your responsibilities will include identifying, negotiating, and nurturing significant relationships with a broad spectrum of global partners, ranging from industry leaders and hyperscale customers to innovative startups.
This position is critical and requires a unique combination of commercial acumen, technical expertise, and adept negotiation skills. You won’t just manage accounts; you will be instrumental in constructing the commercial framework for the future of sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development & Negotiation
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of strategic partnerships, from initial discussions through to post-deal management.
- Foster relationships with large-scale enterprise clients, guiding them through the transition to dependable, carbon-free baseload power.
- Serve as the main liaison for horizontal partners (e.g., fuel cycle providers, EPC firms, and technology integrators) to ensure operational alignment.
- Ecosystem Management
- Develop and sustain a strong network of adjacent startups, including Oklo’s portfolio companies, identifying synergies between emerging technologies and Oklo’s deployment strategies.
- Act as a strategic advisor to partner organizations, ensuring mutual value generation and alignment with Oklo’s long-term mission.
- Strategic Commercial Analysis
- Create complex commercial structures and incentive frameworks for long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with the finance team to evaluate the economic implications of various partnership models, including Joint Ventures (JVs) and off-take agreements.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Represent the partner's interests internally, working closely with Legal, Regulatory, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure deal terms are actionable.
- Prepare impactful briefing materials and strategic advice for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Market Intelligence
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the energy landscape, recognizing shifts in competitor strategies, government policies, and market trends.
