Familiarity with tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, or Bluebeam is advantageous. Experience in building projects within the engineering, architecture, or construction sectors. QualificationsA degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional BIM experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a BIM modeling capacity. Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality outputs. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

KPFF Consulting Engineers is in search of a talented Structural BIM Modeler to enhance our structural engineering projects in San Francisco. As an integral member of our production team, you will proficiently convert engineering concepts into precise, well-coordinated Revit models that drive the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

Your collaboration with engineers and BIM leaders will ensure that the models you create facilitate effective design and construction processes. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in detail-oriented roles and are passionate about teamwork and establishing a solid technical foundation in a dynamic, design-oriented atmosphere.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and manage BIM models utilizing Revit, emphasizing accuracy, constructability, and effective coordination.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, BIM Leads, and project teams to advance structural design and address coordination challenges.
  • Implement BIM standards and best practices, ensuring models align with project specifications and internal protocols.
  • Facilitate project documentation, including drawings, views, schedules, and model-based outputs.
  • Engage in model reviews and quality assurance, identifying and resolving discrepancies or conflicts.
  • Leverage BIM tools to enhance efficiency, assisting teams in optimizing workflows and improving cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Foster a cooperative team environment, valuing clear communication and collective problem-solving.
