The Software Development Internship for Summer 2026 is based at the Hammond terminal in Houston. This role is designed for students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in software development within the transportation and logistics sector. Interns will work on projects that support daily operations, billing systems, and application development.
What you will do
- Assist in developing and improving internal applications to support business operations.
- Work alongside billing and operations teams to build tools that enhance workflow efficiency.
- Contribute to the enhancement of mobile and web applications for both customers and staff.
- Collaborate with IT on troubleshooting, testing, and deploying new software solutions.
- Participate in API integrations, database management, and automation of systems.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to understand and address business needs.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Understanding of database management systems such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in technology.
