POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Technical Lead for Fuel Systems, you will oversee the supervision, coordination, and performance of the assigned Technical Section within the Engineering Groups. You will ensure the successful completion and accuracy of tasks from the initial design phase through to implementation. Your role will involve providing technical leadership and guiding product development for advanced control systems throughout the design process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and supervise section employees to guarantee task completion in accordance with New Flyer standards.
  • Distribute task assignments among team members to ensure timely delivery.
  • Execute engineering design tasks to support production needs.
  • Manage your own tasks to adhere to deadlines while tracking task status and time allocation.
  • Develop engineering designs that align with customer specifications and production requirements.
  • Facilitate trial installations of designs to meet customer expectations, ensuring reliability and component fit.
  • Prepare engineering drawings and release documentation in compliance with Engineering procedures.
  • Provide engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Purchasing, and other departments as necessary.
  • Engage with vendors and customers on design-related inquiries.
  • Review and approve engineering documents as authorized.
  • Conduct annual Employee Performance Reviews for direct reports.
