We proudly work with leading brands in the home services sector and have achieved a remarkable tenfold growth in 2025. With a high-performing, in-office team in New York, we are accelerating our efforts to capture a vast, underserved market where a staggering 85% of missed calls are diverted to competitors. Every new hire at Avoca plays a crucial role in making a visible impact from day one.

Your Role

As our inaugural in-house Technical Recruiter, you will spearhead the complete recruitment process for our product-focused positions (including Product Engineer, Frontend Engineer, FDE, Data, Design, and similar roles). This is a highly execution-oriented role that demands speed, structure, and sound judgment in a rapidly growing in-office environment in NYC.

You will not only focus on filling positions but also on constructing and managing scalable recruiting systems. Your responsibilities will include sourcing and closing top-tier EPD talent through data-driven strategies and providing an exceptional candidate experience, while closely collaborating with engineering and product leadership as we expand our team in 2026.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage the EPD talent pipeline: Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process.

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for key roles: Source talent beyond conventional channels, nurture relationships over extended periods when necessary, and execute successful closures that onboard the right talent at the right time.

  • Serve as the authentic voice of Avoca in the talent market by crafting compelling messages that resonate with candidates, articulating the significance of our mission and current opportunity to those who have encountered generic startup pitches.

  • Create a candidate journey that top talent will rave about, ensuring that even declined candidates refer others, interview debriefs provide learning opportunities, and our process reflects our vibrant culture.

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that highlights Avoca’s unique culture.
