Qualifications and Skills:At least 1 year of experience in traffic management, preferably within a national network. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Proficient in advertising traffic systems; experience with Broadway is advantageous. Background in television, advertising, affiliate sales, or production is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills are essential. Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and capable of recommending and executing process improvements while managing multiple tasks. Exhibit tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior interpersonal skills in the high-pressure context of live television. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and remain seated or standing for extended periods.

Join MLB Network as a Traffic Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the Sales, Production, Programming, and Master Control departments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that programs and live events are executed seamlessly as per schedule while efficiently managing any inventory changes that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule commercial units on broadcast logs across all networks, adhering to established traffic protocols and procedures.
  • Log commercial materials received from advertising agencies promptly and accurately.
  • Utilize the Broadway system effectively to meet operational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Programming and Sales teams to ensure accurate commercial scheduling following program adjustments.
  • Coordinate with Master Control to implement last-minute commercial changes and resolve traffic-related issues.
  • Serve as a backup to the Traffic Supervisor and Senior Manager, including tasks such as log reconciliation, commercial inventory management, and log accuracy verification.
  • Create preliminary logs for Master Control to identify and track missing commercials, promos, and programming inventory.
  • Post finalized logs to Master Control across all networks.
  • Schedule remedial spots as necessary throughout all networks.
  • Maintain organized records of on-air advertisers to prevent billing discrepancies.
  • Provide Master Control with necessary lists, inventory, and standby programming as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
