Join Fylter Ltd as a Transport Manager and lead a dynamic and fast-paced transport department in Lillyhall, near Workington. This role is pivotal to our operations, collaborating closely with the General Manager, Customer Service, and Loading/Packing departments to deliver exceptional service.

With a fleet of approximately 25 vehicles, including eighteen-ton lorries and sprinter vans, you will ensure timely and accurate deliveries to our esteemed clients across Northern England and Southern Scotland. We are seeking a proactive leader with a background in manufacturing or logistics, who is passionate about optimizing team performance in our rapidly growing business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the Transport Department and providing strategic guidance to the Transport Supervisor.
• Managing driver schedules, rest days, and recruitment in partnership with our HR team.
• Ensuring compliance with all Ministry of Transport and VOSA regulations.
• Analyzing daily route efficiency and enhancing operational performance.
• Implementing safe working practices and conducting necessary training for staff.
• Operating within financial budget constraints.
• Monitoring staff performance and facilitating coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Flexibility in working hours is expected.
• National CPC qualification is required.
