Position Available: Traveling Sheetmetal Worker (Journeyman & Entry Level)

Vital Link, Inc. (VLI) is actively seeking dedicated and skilled individuals for our Field Department, offering both Journeyman and entry-level positions. This role involves full-time travel across the US and potentially overseas, working as part of a close-knit Contract Field Team. The primary responsibilities include supporting the repair, maintenance, and installation of USAF Noise Suppressors (Engine Test Cells and Hush Houses). For more details, visit our website at www.vitallinkinc.com.

The positions encompass various trades including Electrician, Ironworker, Sheetmetal Worker, Welder (Structural), Carpenter/Millwright, Painter, and Laborer (entry level). Candidates should possess a general understanding of industrial construction, and while experience in steel erection and refurbishment is preferred, it is not mandatory. A strong ability to read blueprints is essential. For Journeyman positions, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required.

Typical VLI field projects involve multiple trades, including structural ironwork, sheet metal work, welding, mechanical installation and maintenance, electrical work, equipment operation (forklift), rigging and hoisting, corrosion control, and painting. While no employee is expected to cover all trades, successful candidates will likely be able to support more than one trade depending on team needs.

We offer reimbursement for travel expenses and a per diem for our employees. Reliable transportation for travel within the Continental U. S. is required, as is passing a background check for access to US military and other customer installations.

VLI adheres to the Service Contract Act for the payment of prevailing wages and benefits, offering competitive compensation along with holiday, vacation, and fringe benefits. We are proud to hold a multi-year contract with the USAF and are looking for dedicated employees eager to build a career in our specialized industry.
