We are in urgent need of freelance Arabic interpreters based in Newcastle to provide essential services across various environments, including the NHS, local authorities, police, probation services, and other public and private organizations.
Founded in 2001, Language Empire has over 20 years of experience delivering outstanding interpreting and translation services across the UK, covering a vast range of languages and dialects. If you are fluent in one or more foreign languages and are eager to play a vital role in sectors such as healthcare, business, and public service, this position is perfect for you!
We are currently looking for:
- Face-to-Face Interpreters
- Telephone Interpreters
- Video Interpreters
- Translators
Please note: This is a self-employed position.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services for clients utilizing legal, health, and local government services.
- Ensure non-English speakers understand after each statement.
- Engage in conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
- Handle highly confidential information with discretion.
- Facilitate communication between service users and providers.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language.
- Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
- Applicants must be 21 years or older.
- Desirable qualifications include:
- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
- Community Interpreting certification
- NRPSI, CIOL, or ITI registration
- Degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages
- Any other relevant interpreting qualification
