The Utility Technician role at WhiteWater Midstream offers a unique opportunity to support various operations while acquiring valuable hands-on experience in pipeline operations and maintenance tasks. You will collaborate closely with seasoned professionals to learn and implement best practices, safety protocols, and the daily operations of our natural gas pipeline systems.

Our Pipeline Utility Position Program is designed to equip employees with specialized training and practical experience, paving the way for career advancement in pipeline operations. Participants will explore diverse specialized roles, including Damage Prevention Technician, Pipeline Technician, Turbine Technician, Measurement Technician, Corrosion Technician, and Instrumentation/Electrical (I/E) Technician. This structured program spans 24 months, progressing from an Entry Level 1 to Level 3 position, with each phase focusing on specific technical skills development. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire skills to safely operate and maintain various tools, equipment, and vehicles used in daily operations.
  • Assist in managing inventory and restocking supplies and materials.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, utilizing required protective gear.
  • Engage in training sessions and safety meetings to enhance operational knowledge.
  • Support the Startup, Shutdown, and operation of various equipment and systems.
  • Participate in damage prevention activities, including pipeline patrols, one-calls, and underground utility location and marking.
  • Conduct routine inspections and operations of all equipment and pipelines.
  • Respond to alarms and issues within the pipeline system, implementing necessary corrections.
  • Execute or assist with various mechanical maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Support the inspection, calibration, and repair of devices such as transmitters, switches, and hazardous gas detection systems.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment, including valves, actuators, motors, and compressors.
  • Conduct product composition and quality sampling and testing.
  • Accurately complete documentation such as timesheets, work orders, and Job Safety Analyses.
