ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Vice President of Finance, you will be the strategic architect behind Brodie League's financial framework. This pivotal executive role calls for a finance leader who is detail-oriented and adept at scaling rapidly growing organizations. You will oversee comprehensive financial strategy, planning, reporting, compliance, and forecasting. Collaborating closely with the CEO and COO, you will ensure sustainable and profitable growth while future-proofing the organization.
Your mission: to develop a top-tier financial infrastructure that supports the expansion of Brodie League, safeguards the business, and drives long-term success.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Own the overarching financial strategy and long-term roadmap for Brodie League.
- Translate organizational objectives into actionable forecasts, budgets, and investment plans.
- Provide essential financial insights to facilitate critical decisions regarding expansion, hiring, pricing, and partnerships.
- Develop modeling frameworks to analyze scenarios and support executive planning. - Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead budgeting initiatives for all departments and locations.
- Monitor performance against financial targets and offer actionable recommendations.
- Create revenue, margin, and cost models for year-over-year analysis.
- Assess profitability across different locations, product lines, and initiatives. - Accounting, Controls & Compliance:
- Supervise all accounting processes, monthly closes, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and U. S. tax regulations.
- Establish and enforce internal controls to protect company assets.
- Manage audits, filings, and legal financial obligations. - Cash Flow, Capital & Risk Management:
- Oversee company-wide cash flow management, ensuring financial stability and risk mitigation.
