The Team:
The Settlements team, part of Clear Street’s Global Custody department, works alongside Global Tax Operations, Asset Servicing, and Dev Ops. Our team ensures the precise and timely settlement of securities transactions as well as the management of associated cash and position movements, all while operating within a highly regulated broker-dealer setting.
The Role:
This position will initially concentrate on fixed income settlements and related cash, position, and suspense reconciliations. Responsibilities will broaden over time through cross-training as business needs shift. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, control-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage domestic fixed income and US treasury fail control.
- Oversee daily settlement activities at BONY and DTC for fixed income repo transactions.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the repo trading team to resolve discrepancies and reduce operational risks.
- Coordinate with Treasury and trading desks for daily funding forecasts.
- Conduct daily reconciliations of cash, position, and suspense accounts, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and document daily key controls in compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory standards.
- Identify, design, and apply automation solutions to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency, while mitigating risks.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support training, incident management, and operational resilience.
- Engage in cross-training and knowledge sharing to promote process improvements and scalability.
