What You Will Do Develop and refine mechanical components and assemblies for robotic systems, including cable management, rail systems, fixtures, and integration hardware. Design custom end effectors, fingers, and mounting hardware for specific tasks, managing the prototyping process from concept through testing. Integrate third-party components into the overall system, ensuring compatibility and function with existing hardware. Identify and implement design improvements with an emphasis on safety, reliability, and manufacturability. Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support design reviews and manufacturing. Participate in quality assurance and hardware testing: set up tests, collect data, and document results. Assist with root cause analysis for hardware issues and suggest design changes.
