Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Certifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.6 to 8 years of relevant experience in vulnerability assessment. Possession of certifications related to Vulnerability Assessment such as GIAC or CEH. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Hands-on experience in conducting network vulnerability assessments. Proficiency in application scanning and code reviews for applications across various technologies. Familiarity with OWASP tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of network security and information security concepts and technologies. In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, as well as Linux and Unix variants. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys, Nessus, Nexpose, or Saint. Experience with web application vulnerability scanning tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments across various applications, systems, and networks.
  • Effectively communicate identified security vulnerabilities and recommended corrective actions to relevant internal teams, ensuring proper validation of remediation efforts.
  • Perform detailed code reviews to uncover vulnerabilities and rectify any errors missed in the software development phase.
  • Identify potential security risks during the software development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Leverage both commercial and open-source vulnerability assessment tools to enhance security measures.
  • Manually verify vulnerabilities to minimize false positives and enhance assessment accuracy.
  • Create detailed assessment reports and present findings to management and technical teams.
  • Develop metrics for tracking and analyzing vulnerability data effectively.
  • Assist in conducting regular penetration tests to evaluate security posture.
  • Create and maintain internal tools and automate tasks using AI technologies.
  • Stay updated on the latest information security threats and trends.
  • Provide training to security team members on the vulnerability management processes and tools.
