Qualifications

As a Waste Management Technician, you will assist in the daily management of solid and hazardous waste streams, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing waste management. Your responsibilities will include:Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Assisting in the proper handling, documentation, inspection, and transportation of hazardous wastes. Inspecting waste to determine the appropriate disposal method. Labeling and inventorying hazardous wastes as directed by your supervisor. Maintaining satellite accumulation areas, including the movement of drums/containers to proper storage. Supporting facility compliance with environmental, safety, and health regulations, while maintaining necessary documentation. Managing daily collection of recyclable materials. Responding to and helping mitigate emergency situations involving waste, including hazardous materials. Operating various pieces of material handling equipment.
