About the job
Join Lynk and Revolutionize Connectivity
At Lynk, we are pioneers of satellite direct-to-device (D2D) technology, holding the exclusive commercial license from the FCC to operate a D2D system. Our innovative service enables mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages from space using standard mobile devices, untouched by modifications. Having tested our technology across all seven continents and secured regulatory approvals in over 30 countries, we are on a mission to deploy our services commercially across approximately 50 countries through partnerships with more than 40 mobile network operators.
Our goal is ambitious yet simple: to ensure that the 8 billion people on Earth remain connected, regardless of their location or circumstances. By joining Lynk, you are stepping into a role where your contributions can impact billions, uplift communities from poverty, and potentially save lives.
Position Overview
Lynk is seeking a skilled Wireless Engineer to design and implement feeder link modems for our spacecraft and ground systems. This role will involve the development, implementation, and testing of digital signal processing (DSP) and satellite communication protocols. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in wireless communication, signal processing, and software engineering to foster innovation in next-generation satellite networks.
Your Responsibilities
Design and implement DSP algorithms and wireless protocols within the PHY and MAC layers.
Deliver high-performance, reliable production code for software-defined radio (SDR) platforms utilizing single-board computers and/or FPGAs.
Assess algorithm performance through simulation tools such as MATLAB and Python before implementation.
Validate performance on hardware using RF lab equipment, including spectrum analyzers and channel simulators, along with networking tools like ping and iperf.
Create test automation frameworks and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate unit, integration, and system testing of modems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in RF, electronics, and hardware to integrate, benchmark, and troubleshoot payload software and communication systems.
Work alongside the operations team to swiftly debug production issues and resolve complex software and hardware anomalies both in orbit and on the ground.
