Your Responsibilities
- Keep up-to-date with required computer systems and software, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Engage in collection efforts by contacting members via phone, written correspondence, email, and fax regarding overdue accounts, ensuring prompt follow-ups.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service in all member interactions.
- Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate for collection workouts, extensions, agency forwarding, and charge-off recoveries.
- Carry out collection activities such as skip tracing, recovering returned checks, and resolving account discrepancies.
- Promptly address member inquiries.
- Provide status updates on negative share accounts, potential credit card charge-offs, and loan extensions upon request.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act, ensuring compliance in all activities.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs, including some evening and weekend availability.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative culture within the organization, building strong relationships across staff, departments, branches, and external partners, and supporting an inclusive environment aligned with the Credit Union’s mission and values.
Compensation
The hourly wage ranges between $20 and $25, with a hybrid work setup based out of our Irving Remote Operations Center.
