Role Overview
As the Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in broadening Kuda's merchant network and promoting KudaPOS adoption. This position requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to fostering relationships, leading teams, and achieving measurable outcomes. You will drive initiatives to establish KudaPOS as the go-to payment solution for merchants throughout Lagos, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Merchant Network Expansion
- Develop and expand a robust merchant network for KudaPOS in Lagos.
- Identify and onboard merchants across diverse sectors including retail, FMCG, hospitality, and e-commerce.
- Foster and maintain enduring relationships with agents, aggregators, and merchants.
Management and Training
- Lead a team of over 20 field agents and business development executives.
- Create and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance understanding of KudaPOS.
- Provide continuous support and conduct induction training for team members.
Sales and Customer Engagement
- Promote awareness and educate merchants and customers on KudaPOS's features and benefits.
- Guide merchants in attracting customers to use KudaPOS through strategic support.
- Collaborate with merchants to diagnose challenges and provide tailored solutions.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Establish sales targets and strategize to exceed them.
- Submit weekly performance reports and market insights to management.
- Monitor team performance ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Market Development and Strategy
- Manage relationships with agents and other stakeholders to ensure effective market penetration.
