Essential Qualifications: Must be willing to undergo a background check if offered a position. A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Reliable transportation is necessary; proof of driver's license and valid car insurance may be required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a TB test if not done in the past year. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Join Life Skills Autism Academy as a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children on the Autism Spectrum!

We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals who either hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or are willing to complete a 40-hour training course and pass the RBT exam within 45 days of employment. As an RBT, you will implement ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Your role will involve enhancing critical developmental skills such as communication, social skills, and school readiness.

Compensation: $18 - $24 per hour, negotiable based on your experience and qualifications.

Center Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Full-time, center-based position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct client care in both 1:1 and group settings using a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training.
  • Implement behavior skill acquisition and reduction protocols as per the individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA.
  • Collect and document data on client behavior effectively.
  • Assist in training parents and caregivers according to the client’s treatment protocols.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation following established procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as directed by the BCBA.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
  • Support the BCBA in preparing client materials and assessments.
