Role Overview
The Data Migration Developer is tasked with planning, developing, and executing data migration initiatives from legacy systems to new target platforms. This role will ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity throughout the migration process in a regulated enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data migration scripts, programs, and workflows.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from legacy systems to target platforms.
- Perform data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation tasks.
- Collaborate with business users and data owners to clarify data definitions and rules.
- Identify data quality issues and recommend remediation strategies.
- Support migration testing phases including dry runs, UAT, and production migration.
- Document migration logic, mappings, and reconciliation reports.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and audit standards.
