In this vital role, you will transform raw survey and behavioral data into organized, structured formats primed for analysis. Your responsibilities will encompass quality assurance, data coding, weighting, dataset merging, and the precise delivery of final data files to our research teams and clients. This position plays a crucial part in safeguarding the integrity and reliability of our research outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Cleaning & Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy of raw datasets by identifying and correcting errors, eliminating duplicates, managing missing values, and maintaining data consistency using tools like Excel, SPSS, or R.
- Data Transformation: Standardize and reformat raw data to meet research objectives and client specifications.
- Tabulation & Aggregation: Develop frequency tables, cross-tabulations, and summary statistics to aid in insights reporting and client presentations.
- Weighting & Tabulations: Apply weights to datasets and create necessary frequency tables and crosstabs.
- Data Integration: Merge data from various sources (e.g., surveys, tracking studies, spreadsheets) into cohesive datasets for comprehensive analysis.
- Export & Documentation: Prepare well-organized datasets and export them in specified formats (e.g., Excel, CSV, SPSS), including necessary documentation.
- Quality Control: Conduct systematic checks to guarantee data accuracy and completeness before delivery.
- Collaboration: Partner with research analysts, project managers, and survey programmers to ensure timely and precise data delivery.
- Coding of Open-Ended Responses: Categorize qualitative text responses using coding frameworks for quantitative analysis.
- Automation & Scripting: Utilize scripting languages or tools to automate repetitive tasks (e.g., Python, R, Excel macros).
