Role Overview
We are on a mission to close several acquisitions in 2026, and we are assembling a skilled team to achieve this goal. This senior, strategy-focused position is ideal for an individual who excels at identifying prospective companies, fostering genuine relationships with founders, and successfully finalizing deals. You will report directly to the CEO and oversee the initial stages of our M&A process, from market strategy and target identification to the execution of signed term sheets.
What You'll Work On
Market Strategy and Origination
- Enhance our acquisition strategy in the professional services sector, determine which types of firms to target, the rationale behind these choices, and effective sourcing methods.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Corporate Development to establish and nurture a pipeline of acquisition targets through direct outreach, relationship cultivation, industry events, and leveraging intermediary networks.
- Maintain a pulse on market dynamics, monitoring deal activities and competitive landscapes to identify emerging opportunities ahead of the curve.
Founder and Counterparty Relationships
- Build authentic, long-term relationships with founders, business owners, operators, and advisors throughout North America.
- Act as a representative of Alloy River, demonstrating the credibility and discernment necessary to earn the trust of counterparties, especially when engaging with founders.
