The Director of the U. S. Online Violence Prevention & Safety Practice serves as a crucial leader responsible for the overall performance, growth, and reputation of Moonshot’s U. S. initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, this role encompasses all aspects of project delivery related to online violence prevention and safety, while establishing both strategic and operational directions for these critical practices. The Director sets a high standard for excellence, ensuring that Moonshot’s programs achieve measurable outcomes, honor contractual obligations, maintain rigorous operational discipline, and consistently foster renewal and sustainable growth for the organization.
In addition to portfolio management, the Director will enhance and standardize delivery practices across the U. S. This includes documenting existing best practices, implementing uniform project management systems, providing comprehensive training for managers on shared expectations, and driving continuous operational improvements. The Director will also develop the necessary infrastructure to facilitate disciplined and scalable growth.
Simultaneously, the Director will spearhead revenue growth within the U. S. practice. This includes identifying and developing new business opportunities, building senior-level relationships within the homeland security and violence prevention sectors, representing Moonshot at public and professional events, and converting established credibility into awarded projects.
The ideal candidate will possess significant hands-on experience in homeland security, counterterrorism, public safety, or violence prevention, along with substantial experience in consulting or professional services for government clients. A proven understanding of how high-performing firms standardize delivery, manage contracts, and maintain client relationships at scale is essential.
