Our Mission
Our team focuses on enhancing a Navigation SDK product that serves diverse customer needs, from turn-by-turn navigation to logistics route optimization for expansive fleets. We ensure users can navigate seamlessly from point A to point B, matching them accurately to roads. As part of the Navigation team, you will gain in-depth knowledge of routing algorithms and map-matching data structures. Our navigation engine, developed in C++, is designed for high performance and flexibility, powering our server-side APIs. This engine plays a pivotal role in our positioning service, transforming GPS signals and additional data into accurate road positioning, even in challenging environments such as urban areas and with varied device signals.
Our technology supports leading brands like BMW, Rivian, GM, Toyota, DoorDash, and Instacart, enhancing their operational capabilities.
Your Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager who is enthusiastic about advancing and refining the core components of our navigation ecosystem at Mapbox. In this role, you will:
Mentor and Develop Talent: Inspire and guide engineers, promoting their professional growth.
Foster Collaboration and Innovation: Nurture a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and data-informed decision-making.
Lead Strategic Initiatives: Steer the team towards achieving organizational, product, and team objectives, ensuring alignment and synergy.
Establish Product Roadmaps: Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define the strategic roadmap for Maps products.
Shape the Future Vision: Contribute to the evolution of our rendering engines and participate in business and product strategy.
