Morgan & Morgan’s Fort Lauderdale office is hiring an experienced Litigation Paralegal. This position plays a central role in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from preparing cases before trial to managing post-trial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and memoranda.
- File court documents electronically in both state and federal courts.
- Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and related parties.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigations to support cases.
- Prepare and respond to discovery documents, such as interrogatories.
- Draft and serve summons as required.
- Coordinate depositions and summarize key information for attorneys.
- Compile trial binders and assemble necessary exhibits.
- Draft appellate documents and ensure all filings comply with court requirements.
- Handle administrative duties, including scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing case logistics.
- Maintain accurate indexes for pleadings and discovery materials.
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for trial.
- Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
- Gather relevant information from various sources to aid case preparation.
- Serve as a liaison between trial teams and both internal and external contacts.
- Prepare witnesses for trial proceedings.
- Support attorneys during case settlements and related activities.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by attorneys.
