About the job
Are you looking for a role that makes a difference, offers variety, and provides opportunities for growth? Do you want to work in a team where your expertise matters and where you can truly make an impact? As a Soil Supervisor, you will be empowered to work independently and contribute to building a cleaner, safer living environment.
You will join a dedicated team, receive comprehensive training, and have numerous opportunities for advancement. Every day presents new challenges, and your efforts will significantly benefit residents, the environment, and decision-makers.
Your Role as a Soil Supervisor: Control Over the Ground
In your role, you will oversee soil works and remediation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will tackle questions such as: Is the soil delivered clean? Has archaeological research been conducted? Are there any environmental risks?
You will work on various projects, from residential building to highway expansions, and supervise sustainable applications like closed soil energy systems (GBES). You will oversee the entire process; from start to finish, you will help minimize risks and ensure a safe living environment.
Your key responsibilities include:
Thoroughly preparing for inspections: reviewing the case files, coordinating with colleagues such as permit issuers, and scheduling inspections;
Conducting on-site inspections before and during project execution. You will ask the right questions and ensure thorough execution and completion;
Documenting your findings and closing files, or ensuring appropriate follow-up with enforcement;
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders including permit issuers, legal advisors, municipalities, contractors, and consultancies.
As a Soil Supervisor, you will spend part of your time in the Tilburg office and the other part actively conducting inspections outdoors. Your focus will primarily be on the South-West Brabant region: areas like Bergen op Zoom, Moerdijk, and Roosendaal. You can also work partially from home.
