Koninklijk Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum (NLR) in Amsterdam is looking for an HR Business Partner to support its ongoing growth and transformation. This role works closely with leadership, providing practical HR advice and guidance on both policy and daily operations. As a trusted advisor, the HR Business Partner contributes directly to shaping the organization’s future through active involvement in projects and initiatives.
Main responsibilities
- Advise management proactively and on request, using NLR’s HR strategy, policies, and available tools.
- Support managers with employee matters, leadership tasks, and achieving team objectives.
- Participate as a sparring partner in working groups and projects, including Strategic Workforce Planning, sustainable employability, onboarding, talent development, vitality, and social safety and inclusivity.
- Guide and support the organization through development and change processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Contribute to the ongoing professionalization of the HR advisory team.
Team and context
NLR is preparing for a new strategic period from 2026 to 2029. The HR team collaborates to achieve strategic People and Organization goals. Key focus areas include Strategic Personnel Planning, Talent Management, Leadership Development, and wellbeing initiatives. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, with at least five years of HR experience and current knowledge of laws and regulations.
- Ability to work on projects and switch between daily HR tasks and broader organizational initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to support HR advice using solid arguments and data.
- Results-oriented approach and sharp insight.
